The National Child Development Research Centre (NCDRC) and Sultan Idris Education University (UPSI) have developed Malaysia's National Child Data Centre (NCDC), a centralized database housing comprehensive information on children, educators, and childcare centers (TASKA). This web-based platform serves as a national repository, integrating data previously dispersed across agencies to support structured and holistic child development initiatives aligned with Malaysia's early childhood policies. Profiling over 70,000 children and thousands of TASKA staff, NCDC assists in program planning, early detection, and interventions for special needs children, aiding agencies such as PERMATA, KEMAS, and SWD. The system's analytics capabilities include predictive modeling to assess and enhance child outcomes, and its commercialization potential positions NCDC as a vital analytics hub, offering policymakers and stakeholders actionable insights by integrating extensive datasets, with ongoing monitoring and legal safeguards to ensure data accuracy and security.
